I like when I just sit all alone,
Beats and Choirs on the phone,
Meets my desire of a tone,
So beautiful I shake my bone.
Because in my world I'm always feeling down,
Because in my world they put on my face a frown.
This is a poem I wrote about being alone, phones, music and the world. And I don't twerk, I mean dance goddamnit!
Anyways, Mobile Phones!
One of the most things that waste the teenagers' time, it is popular among children and teenagers including me. We go through a lot of arguments and conversations about mobile phones. One of the most popular arguments is that Samsung is better than the iPhone or that the iPhone is more secure than Samsung but, both of them is true. Now you might not agree and comment down a reason why that iPhone is not more secure than Samsung or that Samsung isn't better than iPhone and then after that, someone is going to reply to you and deny about any fact that you might say, and then, if it is possible, I'm going to delete your comments because I don't want my comment section to be full of these useless arguments. Thank you! (I prefer iPhone though)
Now there are many addictive games on iPhone as well as apps including SnapChat, Instagram and TikTok. The worst app that was ever created on AppStore. Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Call of Duty: Mobile, I hate Clash Royale though. But the one thing that makes us so hooked and addicted to our phone is entertainment, we use Instagram for entertainment and fame because teenagers (especially teenage girls) think that they have to be the centre of attention and most girls seem to be happier when in the centre of the attention. But the boys, it is like 50/50 or 75% likes to be the centre of the attention probably. But I was always that dude (And I still am) who is under a massive amount of pressure when all of the faces are directed towards me. Not because I'm shy, but because I am worried. I don't know why. I hate taking the spotlight and I love being unknown so much, being the centre of the attention is like the worst encounter against humanity. So, if I ever wanted or became a celebrity, (though I kind of wants to) I would be so damned. So I hope not. Back to the topic!
Some researches say that mobile phones cause side effects such as depression, headaches, decreased attention, shortness of temper and sleep disorders.
Now I get why people might get depressed, it makes sense. As someone can get stress or pressure from the negativity of social media, there is a big risk to get depression from it. As well as cyber-bullies too, I don't know how you can get cyber-bullied because honestly, it is stupid. I get some headache sometimes when I use the phone a lot for almost a day, once I leave it and take some rest, it starts to go away. I haven't experienced any type of shortness of temper or sleep disorders. I would easily go to sleep, I noticed that I had trouble with focus when I used my phone for a long time, but I have also decreased the amount of time that I use my phone since I had deleted Instagram all of the social media for over 2 months now. It was easy for me to avoid social media and not installing them but I really used them for a long time and even made a lot of stories. So, Instagram was taking most of my time. Games, that is another topic.
Now I am pretty sure phones can get physical side effects as you are not moving your muscles for a long time unless you are listening to music while running or that outgoing person who goes out nearly every day. Phones can make you less communicative with people since all you do is sending 100 DAMN messages per minute talking about the same topic for 2 hours scared to communicate face-to-face that you might even talk to your friend on the phone while you are next to each other. A person, especially a teenager, can feel like he has no friends or human interactions in the real world and therefore, they might use mobile phones for chatting and communication as to try to feel at least communication or something which isn't really the right solution. You can just talk to people you meet, get friends. Not hard, but not also easy because I am that type of person that when he goes to a new place or a new school, I will be shy of everyone and you have to talk to me before I do.
Now the solution isn't to remove the phones completely since that will cause disaster, people will fight back for phones especially teens. But not doing anything about isn't the best solution too, in my opinion, decreasing the amount of time is the solution. Now don't suddenly decrease it to a whopping 30 mins like people say, go time by time. The average usage time of mobile phones is 9 hours, so decreasing it suddenly to 30 mins isn't the right way of doing the solution. We can go like this. Let us say the government of America installed a system that is not hackable and puts a limited time of usage on their phone. They should make a limited time 8 hours and 30 minutes, wait for at least one month or two to make people cope with the limited time. Now decrease 30 minutes and wait again. And so keep going until your choice. For example, 1 hour and 30 minutes (Because 30 minutes is just too small) since people won't be really happy with just 30 minutes. Of course, when they have reached a limited time, lock their phone but keep a button somewhere where they can call an emergency in case of any harmful situation or dangerous situation that happened to could happen. It is all simple, you just got to go time by time, brick by brick and be patient and that will be it.
Hope you got benefits from my post. If you have any tips, topic, compliments or opinions please feel free to share it down in the comment section. I hope you enjoyed the post and I hope you enjoy your day!
